The Business Group of the iron and steel industry in Cuba culminates a year characterized by three fundamental aspects: comprehensive control, execution of investments and technological updating in key companies.
Reinaldo Luis González, President of GESIME, indicates as one of the main achievements of the year that ends the results of the last State Control that demonstrated the high professional level and work capacity of the Group's managers, specialists, technicians and workers.
2020 will be a very tense year, with great complexities, especially characterized by the aggressive environment to which the Cuban economy has been subjected, and its business system. It is very important to keep the management of Cuban companies active and constantly improving and to increase the performance of its qualified workforce.
For GESIME some of the fundamental lines are clear: consolidating work with the valuable youth force that is part of the reserve; perfecting the structures that allow greater effectiveness in the control and management of the business system; consolidate business improvement, complete the necessary endorsements of quality management systems and increase production linkage processes. All of the above is essential to continue with the mission of being the basis for the development of secondary industries, as well as serving as a launch pad for the development of the Cuban economy.
