In the GESIME 2019 Annual Balance it was firmly established that the productive chain and integration with the rest of the national industry must be a vital work philosophy to raise the quality and added value of our productions to achieve import substitution in Cuba.
They were recognized as the main difficulties in meeting these objectives and the increase in exports and the development of projects and businesses, the poor understanding of the main entrepreneurs of the role and importance of foreign investment as a source for the modernization of the industry and the development of Cuba, together with the little preparation of the negotiating teams and the insufficient knowledge of the regulations related to foreign investment.

Industrial Campus:
Production and marketing of electrical conductors.
Production and marketing of rigid pipes for tobacco.
Manufacture of parts, pieces and components of elevators.
Gas cylinder production.

In the Mariel Special Development Zone:
Elevator assembly.
Production and marketing of taps
Creation of a Metal Service Center.
Aluminum Packaging Production.

Among the main results of the business activity in 2019 is the constitution of the Mixed Company TECCOMP CARIBE, S.A. for the production and marketing of fiberglass composite bars and meshes, in the ZEDM with Simen Aut S.A and UCT of Russia as partners.

Main work objectives for 2020: direct, control and evaluate the process of executing the approved policy in the country for the development of businesses associated with foreign investment; from the project formulation stages to their constitution and operation; identify new business opportunities and maintain control and monitoring of the projects formulated by the negotiating teams of the companies; consolidate work with the valuable youth force that makes up the reserve; perfecting the structures that allow greater effectiveness in the control and management of the business system; consolidate business improvement, complete the necessary endorsements of quality management systems and increase vital production chain processes.
