Young people from the Paintings Reserve attended by GESIME in the "Plaza Che Guevara" in Santa Clara
The care and preparation of the young people who make up the reserve of paintings is a priority for the Business Group of the Iron and Steel Industry (GESIME). For this reason, the National Meeting of Youth of the Reserve of Paintings attended by GESIME took place on December 18 in Villa Clara, with the participation of 98 members from all the companies and provinces of the country.
The event was attended by the President of GESIME, Reinaldo Luis González who exchanged with future managers, although many of them already hold important positions in their entities as CEOs or deputy directors of companies and UEBs, as well as functional areas, as part of its promotional route, which is an indicator of the greater prominence that has been given to youth in the management of the business group.
“In an organization, the fundamental resource is its workforce and within it its young people play a fundamental role since they are continuity and relief. Young people are synonymous with Revolution, ”said Reinaldo Luis González at the meeting, referring to their ability to think and act creatively, leaving aside bureaucratism and other practices that sometimes make it difficult to find solutions to problems and face new challenges. . In this way, he showed his confidence in them and was interested in learning about their criteria and suggestions regarding their preparation as a reserve of paintings.
Several issues were highlighted in the debate as the importance of taking into account professional motivations and interests when preparing your career plan or promotional route. The value of recognizing the good results they achieve in assuming responsibilities was also highlighted, for which it is necessary to prepare preparation plans with indicators that facilitate evaluating their performance.
Likewise, several young people pointed out the need to encourage the comprehensive preparation of the reserve of cadres and to promote knowledge and mastery of the activity to be carried out in the future, depending on whether they can be prepared to assume it.
The President of GESIME also highlighted the active role that young people must have in companies to contribute to their development, to know the potential of the business system and to stay informed about everything related to the improvement of the country's economic model.
Finally, he gave some advice to future cadres such as: learning to organize their time and identify work priorities, team up wherever they are, defend what they believe, dream, have vision, and remember that qualified personnel are the most important in an organization.
As part of the event, the “Plaza Che Guevara” in Santa Clara was also visited, where the sculptural ensemble, museum and memorial in which the remains of Commander Ernesto Guevara de la Serna and his comrades in struggle in Bolivia and Cuba are located, A floral offering was deposited in his memory.
On the other hand, the young people received the work experiences of the directors Eliel Pérez Pérez of the MINERVA company and Idael Cristóbal Hidalgo Cruz of the Mechanical Plant, two important entities based in the Villa Clara province.
About MINERVA, Eliel Pérez commented on the production and marketing of electric bicycles and tricycles, which have been incorporated into electronic commerce and TRD Stores where they are sold by MLC, which has allowed the entry of foreign currency.
Regarding the Mechanical Plant, the investment processes through which its industrial complex is immersed were mainly addressed: investment in the pailer and welding workshop (for the hydropower program), the modernization and remodeling of the smelting and heat treatment workshops, and the modernization of machining workshops, design areas and completion of pailer and foundry.
Likewise, Roberto Miranda Prieto, Head of the GESIME Paintings Department, gave a conference to refer to the Paintings Policy implemented in the business group, where he explained fundamental concepts such as: reserve of paintings and quarry of the reserve of paintings, as well as reserve immediate and mediate. He instructed on the documents that make up the reserve file, as well as on the career plans or promotional route and the individual preparation that must include the training of the reserve in the areas: technical-professional, administration and management, security, defense territorial and civil and political-ideological.
