ENVAMETAL: union of experience and commitment
The Metal Containers and Containers Company, ENVAMETAL, belonging to the Business Group of the Mechanical Sidero Industry, reaches its sixth anniversary since it was created on January 22.
ENVAMETAL emerged in 2014 from the merger of several factories with more than 50 years of experience in the production and commercialization of containers, lids, metal containers, and other products obtained from metal shaping; with the aim of concentrating these activities in a single entity. The following factories belong to the company:
• Luis Melián Factory, with a centuries-old history in the manufacture of metal containers that began with a small workshop in 1911.
• Armando Mirabal Factory, created in the early years of the Revolution and proof of interest in developing the packaging industry in Cuba.
• Rafael Trejo Factory, former Packaging Company, created on January 11, 1983.
• Elio Llerena Factory, NOVALUM, producer of aluminum and metal articles, founded in 1925.
The company develops a wide variety of products, which have a significant impact on the agri-food sector. There are tin containers for foods such as cookies, spices, pulps, jams, canned fruits, vegetables, meats, fish, dairy and also for other products such as paints, inks and bitumens. Likewise, they manufacture traditional and induction kitchenware, as well as cutlery. For livestock, they make 25 and 40 liter milk jugs, strainers and buckets.
Also noteworthy are the drums for the storage of honeys and lubricants, 210 Lt with a removable lid and 216 Lt with a threaded cap lid; as well as tubular packages for tobacco, due to their quality.
Among the main results of ENVAMETAL's work in 2019, it is found that it fulfilled the commitments to deliver containers according to the approved financing, the work destined to food programs and the delivery of Jerrycans for the export of honey, as well as the certification of the accounting of the company.
By 2020, ENVAMETAL aims to achieve the certification of the Quality Management System, to continue working on the fulfillment of the projects included in the Development Strategy with a view to 2030 and on the commitments to deliver containers mainly aimed at the tomato harvest. and the handle.
The Company in 2019 had a resizing process where the Marcel Bravo Factory began operating as UEB of the newly created Company November 30, and the Noel Fernández Factory, CONFORMAT as an independent Company. In addition, the ENVOCC factory became two factories subordinate to the ENVAMETAL company.
