As part of his working visit to the province of Holguín, the Commander of the Revolution Ramiro Valdés Menéndez, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba and Vice President of the Councils of State and Ministers, confirmed on Wednesday the manufacture of parts and machinery for the local production of construction materials at the Heroes of July 26 Mechanical Company in the eastern city.

During a tour of the workshop areas of this entity, the senior leader appreciated samples of electric motors that are incorporated into other equipment to obtain different types of aggregates such as stone mills, highly demanded within the means used in the process of extraction of construction materials.

Later, he held a meeting with factory managers and the Combined Sugarcane Company 60th Anniversary of the October Revolution, KTP, who informed him of the current state of production of mechanical components and the specific characteristics of each of the implements. who assemble and design their own workers.

Juan Carlos Parga, general director of the Heroes Company of July 26, explained that they work to benefit the local production of materials by creating teams such as the laying blocker, from which they made a prototype to study its operation, while modifying the project with a view to further improvement.

He also referred to the mechanical arm for polishing tiles that already has 12 finished units, to which they incorporated 2.2 kilo Watt motors, whose project has technical possibilities to add 10 more between the remainder of June and July.

In this regard, Valdés Menéndez was interested in the proper functioning of these mechanisms and the cost they have in the international market, in addition to the company's ability to maintain the availability of spare parts, in order to guarantee their stability.

Regarding the KTP, Pedro Romay, director of this industry, inaugurated by the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, presented the models of combined cane systems that they manufacture there, such as the latest-generation CCA-5500 through a program in collaboration with China, in addition to other implements destined for the sugar harvest and prioritized agricultural programs in the country, including the rice harvest.

The member of the Political Bureau was also interested in the income plan of this company and in the supply of basic raw materials, especially steel for the manufacture of castings that are supplied to other entities as a sign of the productive chain.

Another aspect dealt with was related to the internal link that exists between the Holguín Mechanical Company and the KTP in pursuit of higher production rates, in addition to the current state of working conditions and the adequate use of protection means by their groups. of workers.

Prior to these meetings, the Commander of the Revolution evaluated the progress of the housing construction program in the provinces of Holguín and Las Tunas, where he stressed that the local production of construction materials is the backbone of the policy outlined in Cuba in This front, for which it must be prioritized and strengthened to guarantee the self-sufficiency of the necessary means in each municipality of the country.
